NBA Daily: MVP Jokic Posts Triple-Double to Lead Nuggets Past Cavaliers 121-108

Tagbilaran City, Bohol –Nikola Jokic recorded his 10th triple-double of the season to lead the Denver Nuggets past the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-108 on Friday night (Saturday morning, Philippine time) at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
The reigning back-to-back league MVP finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, to go along with 2 steals. He shot 10-for-17 from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. He was also perfect in 5 attempts from the charity stripe.
Jamal Murray played his first back-to-back games since undergoing a knee surgery and dropped 18 markers, also stuffing the stats sheet with 4 boards, 2 dimes, 1 steal, and 2 blocks for Denver, who had seven players with at least 12 points.
Cleveland was without star player Donovan Mitchell, who was rested two games after playing 50 minutes on the way to 71 points on 34 shot attempts. Caris LeVert led the way for Cleveland with 22, while Darius Garland added 21 across his name for the Cavaliers, who dropped to 25 win and 15 losses for 4th place in the Eastern Conference team standings.
Denver improved to 26-13 on the win-loss column to take hold of the lead in the Western Conference team standings. The Nuggets will next face the LA Lakers at home on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers will travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on Sunday night (Monday morning, Philippine time).
