Zulueta fights again in Thailand

UNDEFEATED John Michael “Striker” Zulueta of Negros Occidental will fight again in Thailand against Somphon Banyaem on August 3 at the RCA Plaza-Space Plus Bar in Bangkok.
“This fight will be a nice one since I have a longer practice,” said the 26-year-old Zulueta.
Zulueta (12-0-2, 5KOs) is sparring with fellow Filipino Herlan Gomez (4-0-0, 2 KOs) and current WBA rated no. 9 Sitthisak Simsri (12-0-9, 12KOs) of Thailand.
He is currently 110 pounds which is only two pounds over the official weight.
“It’s very nice to practice here because I can really focus properly,” said Zulueta.
Zulueta and Gomez have been staying in Thailand for two months already.
Gomez will also fight in the same card against unbeaten Sarawut Jiamthong (6-0-0) of Thailand in the super flyweight division.
The boxing event is billed as "For Honor and Glory". It is promoted by Brico Santig of Highland and the Space Boxing Promotions.
