ROMBLON VS MARINDUQUE TEAM BATTLE

MANILA---After 2 consecutive wins on a team match-up against Andalus Chess Club Bahrain last January 7, 2022, and FCLP-UAE last January 15, 2022, the Romblomanon players will be facing Marinduque Chess Association, another MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) Region Chess Team headed by Dr. Fred Paez.
It shall be recalled that the Romblon Chess Team, headed by RCC President Ret. DILG RD Engr. James F. Fadrilan, played 5 matchups last year 2021, against Oriental Mindoro Chess Federation Inc. headed by President Prof./Engr. Oliver Daitol. Romblon leads the series with a score of 3 wins & 2 losses.
The match-up will be played using 10 versus 10 scoring boards with a time control of 3 minutes plus a 1-second increment and a total duration of 90 minutes. No berserk is allowed and also there is no arena streak or a time control where players halve their time to gain extra points.
Romblon team will rely once again on the experience of 7-time Philippine Executive Champion, Dr. Jenny Mayor. He will be backed up by top veteran players and top kiddie players of Romblon Chess Club.
