DAVAO CITY – Undefeated Carl Jammes “Wonder Boy” Martin of Manila will fight southpaw Joe Tejones of Bukidnon on Feb. 20 at the Biñan City Football Stadium.
The 21-year-old Martin won by a unanimous decision over Richard Rosales last Dec. 18, 2020, at the IPI Compound in Mandaue City.
Martin, also a southpaw, has 16 wins with 14 knockouts against no defeat or draw.
Tejones (13W-7L-0D, 7KOs), on the other hand, had no fight last year but had three fights in 2019.
The 24-year-old Tejones first won by a TKO over Jestonie Makiputin last March 3 at Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City.
He then scored a split decision over KJ Natuplag last June 15 at The Enderun Tent at Azuela Cove in Davao City.
Tejones, however, lost by a knockout to Tsuyoshi Tameda last Sept. 17 at Korakuen Hall in Japan.
It will be the supporting event of the fight between undefeated Robert “Inggo” Paradero (18W-0L, 12KOs) of Bukidnon and former WBO World minimumweight champion Victorio “Vicious” Saludar (20W-4L-0D).
It is dubbed as the “Night of Champions XXII” and is promoted by Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde Jr. of Elorde International Productions.
