NBA -- Bulls personnel pay PacMan a visit
By Anthony Rozic PhilBoxing.com Tue, 29 Jan 2019

CHICAGO -- NBA players are known to be big fight fans. Apparently, so do some league team personnel.
In the days leading to Showtime's January 19 pay-per-view offering, key members of the Chicago Bulls organization visited Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao at the legendary boxer's private residence at Hancock Park in Los Angeles.
The delegation, which gave boxing's only eight-division champ a Bulls jersey -- was led by the Bulls TV broadcasters Neil Funk and Bill Wennington as well as equipment manager John Ligmanowski and his assistant manager, Steve Pankow.
"Manny is a very, very nice man," Wennington told PhilBoxing after Sunday's Bulls' game at the United Center where the Cavaliers pulled a mild 104-101 upset. A three-time NBA champ, Wennington played with Michael Jordan when Chicago won the first of its two NBA 3- peats from 1996 to 1998.
Pacquiao added to his legend this month when, at age 40, he disposed of mouth American Adrien Broner via lopsided unanimous decision at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Despite his two-year absence on U.S. soil. Pacquiao's recent outing sold over 400,000 pay-per-view units at $70 a pop.
No word yet as to when or who Pacquiao will fight next, but multiple media outlets have reported a rematch with Floyd Mayweather this upcoming July.
