NBA - - Bucks deal Wolves with 30-point rout

PhilBoxing.com

MINNEAPOLIS - The Milwaukee Bucks didn?t disappoint a large contingent of their fans who traveled to the Target Center on Friday night by destroying the Minnesota Timberwolves, 125-95, in the border battle between the two Eastern Conference rivals.

The Bucks ignited a 7-0 run right after the jump as Khris Middleton nailed a jumper and former Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon hit back-to-back 3s.

The Bucks, now under head coach Mike Budenholzer, outmaneuvered the Wolves 27-16 at the end of the opening quarter before extending the lead to 63-38 at halftime and 97-67 entering the fourth quarter.

The Timberwolves were without Andrew Wiggins (right quad contusion) and Jimmy Butler, who played at less than 100 percent due to illness, settled with just four points in 24 minutes of action.

Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau pulled out his starting five and tinkered with an experimental line-up in the fourth period. Coach fielded put former longtime Bull Luol Deng alongside Gorgui Dieng, Anthony Tolliver, Derrick Rose and Tyus Jones, who run the point guard position.

During the post-game locker room media availability, this writer asked "The Greek Freak" about his visit to Manila last year. ?Manila? Oh amazing, people there are amazing? a smiling Antetokounmpo replied.

During his Philippine visit Antetokounmpo played at the Glorietta Activity Center, a charity project for Makati Science High School. He entertained the crowd along with PBAs? stars Gabe Norwood and Ranidel de Ocampo
