PRINCE ALBERT PAGARA AIMS A REMATCH WITH JUAREZ OR A FIGHT WITH DOGBOE IF HE WINS PINOY PRIDE 44

PhilBoxing.com

Prince Albert Pagara's homecoming fight will be realized when he displays his boxing skills in his birthplace Maasin City, Southern Leyte and face Ghana?s Laryea Gabriel Odoi in Pinoy Pride 44 on June 9th at the Maasin City Gym.

The 24-year old Pagara (29-1, 20 KOs) seized a three-fight winning streak after his first career loss to Mexico's Cesar Juarez. He works hard to climb back up the world rankings of the super bantamweight division.

In his first comeback fight after his fall, Albert Pagara went the full ten rounds with Ghana's Raymond Commey winning by unanimous decision at Pinoy Pride 39 at the Cebu Coliseum on November 2016. The verdict was 99-91 for all the three judges in favor of Albert Pagara.

Next he annihilated Thailand's Aekkawee Kaewmanee by 4th-round knockout at Pinoy Pride 41 at the IEC Convention Center, Cebu City on July 2017.

Then he achieved a two-round knockout demolition of Tanzania's Mohammed Kambuluta at Pinoy Pride 43 in Tagbilaran, Bohol in November 2017.

Pagara strives to recover from that haunting KO loss to Juarez. Many fight aficionados have observed that his style has significantly changed as he became too cautious to slug it out with his foes.

But the ever-confident Pagara assured his supporters that the Prince Albert of the old will be back with a vengeance as he targets a rematch with Juarez or a crack at Isaac Dogboe who beat his Mexican tormentor.

Juarez overcame a first-round knockdown by a left hook to the jaw by Pagara less than 10 seconds to go in the first round in the main event of Pinoy Pride 37 in San Mateo, California in July 8th last year.

But Juarez recovered and fought stronger as the fight progressed sending Pagara to the canvas early in the eighth round in a shocking knockout.

The 23-year-old Dogboe is a compatriot of Odoi who is also from Accra, Ghana. He challenged Juarez for the vacant interim WBO super bantamweight title and won by a 5th round stoppage. He is undefeated in 18 fights with 12 KO wins.

Dogboe handed Juarez the first knockout loss of his career. With the impressive win, the former 2012 London Olympian will challenge Jessie Magdaleno for the WBO world super bantamweight championship on April 28th.
