Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo (17-0-0,13 KOs), the 22-year old hard puncher and KO specialist of ALA Boxing Gym will display his deadly boxing skills as he headlines Pinoy Pride 43 on November 25. Magsayo will defend his WBO international featherweight title against ferocious Shota Hayashi (30-6-1,18 KOs) of Japan at the Wisdom School gymnasium in Tagbilaran City. He said he saw Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista fought in the same venue while he was still eight-years-old that time. "Now my dream of showcasing my talent to my fellow Boholanos has come true and I am very excited and honored for this opportunity,? Trainer Edmund Villamor said they pair him against Hayashi to see if Magsayo is ripe for a world title shot. Magsayo is currently ranked No. 2 featherweight by the WBO. ?Hayashi is an unpredictable opponent, he can slug and box at the same time and he is a busy fighter who has a style which for us is a fitting test if Magsayo is ready for a world title shot,? said Villamor. The 29-year old Hayashi defeated world title challenger Akifumi Shimoda to claim the Japan featherweight title.

Magsayo is hoping to fight WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez of Mexico that?s why he is aiming for an impressive win on November 25. ?I want to fight Valdez but my promoters decided to give me another test. I am up to the challenge and I can fight any boxer they throw at me,? added Magsayo. Valdez is fresh from a unanimous decision win over former ALA stablemate Genesis Servania in Tucson, Arizona. Servania has proven that Valdez in not invincible by handing him his first knockdown.

Another part of "SuperFly" is set to take place in the early part of 2018 on HBO. The first edition of this series took place on September 9th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The main event featured the rematch of Srisaket Sor Rungvisai who knocked Roman Gonzalez out in four rounds in defense of his WBC belt. There were speculations that "Chocolatito" may retire but there is a great possibility that he will fight on "SuperFly 2."

Tom Loeffler, the lead promoter for SuperFly, said that they are discussing with Akihiko Honda to have Gonzalez in "Superfly 2." When asked about the date for this card, Loeffler told BoxingScene: "It looks like February of next year, we're finalizing what other fights will be on the show. The main event will be Rungvisai versus (Juan Francisco) Estrada and we're just looking at the other fights." Estrada defeated Carlos Cuadras last September for a title fight with Rungvisai.

Loeffler told BoxingScene the event has become a very popular brand for boxing, especially in the lighter weight division. "A lot of people have expressed interest worldwide to be on the show because it's a great platform for that weight division which has been over-looked by the boxing media for a long time," he said. He added the fighters who showed interest are Jerwin Ancajas, the Arroyo brothers, McJoe and McWilliams, Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, Carlos Cuadras, Brian Viloria, and Kal Yafai.

The first documented bare-knuckle fight in Britain appeaed only in 1681in a newspaper called the London Protestant Mercury. On January 6, 1681, the first recorded boxing match took place in Britain when Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle organized a bout between his butler and his butcher with the butcher winning the prize. When Michael Jordan averaged 37.1 points per game in 1986-87, his Chicago Bulls were below .500, but still managed to become the eighth-seeded playoff team that was swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round. Jordan had completely recovered from injury in time for the 1986?87 season, and he had one of the historic scoring seasons in NBA history. He joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only two players to score 3,000 points in a season, averaging a league high 37.1 points on 48.2% shooting.

In addition to his magnificent offense, Jordan also showed his defensive prowess, as he became the first player in NBA history to record 200 steals and 100 blocked shots in a single season. Despite Jordan's successes, Magic Johnson won the league's Most Valuable Player Award. The Bulls reached 40 wins, and advanced to the playoffs for the third consecutive year. However, they were swept by the Celtics.
