JERUSALEM, CATARAJA RETURN TO ACTION ON PINOY PRIDE 41 By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Wed, 07 Jun 2017 Jerusalem (L) and Cataraja (R). CEBU ? World title challenger and WBC No. 3 ranked minimumweight Melvin 'Gringo' Jerusalem and undefeated flyweight Kevin Jake Cataraja will return to action on the undercard of ALA Promotions' 'Pinoy Pride 41: The New Generation Warriors' which is being co-headlined by rising featherweight star Mark 'Magnifico and knockout artist Jeo Santisima on July 8 at the IEC Convention Center here. The Bukidnon-born Jerusalem (11-1-0, 7KOs) who was praised with his performance against the highly regarded and undefeated WBC world minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand in a losing effort last January, will face another failed world title challenger in Jason Canoy (12-3-1, 6KOs) of Mandaue City who unsuccessfully fought Hikkie Budler of South Africa for the vacant BFO light flyweight title last February. Jerusalem vs Canoy will be for 10 rounds flyweight bout. Cebu-native Cataraja (5-0-0, 4KOs) will face Lony Cadayday (4-1-2, 1KO) of General Santos City for 8-rounds flyweight bout. Cataraja, a multi-titled amateur who is regarded as one of ALA Promotions rising prospects last fought in Nov., 2016 when he stopped John Kenan Villaflor in the first round. On the main event, Magsayo (16-0-0, 12KOs), headlining his first 'Pinoy Pride' event, will be pitted against veteran campaigner and former world title challenger from Nicaragua Danie 'El Heneral' Diaz (23-7-2, 15KOs) where Magsayo puts his WBO International featherweight title on the line. On the co-main event, Santisima (13-2-0, 11KOs) will face undefeated Tanzanian Goodluck Mrema (16-0-0, 8KOs) in a fight scheduled for 10 rounds in the super bantamweight division. Comebacking 'Prince' Albert Pagara (27-1-0, 18KOs) will also be on the card where he takes on Waldo Sabu (12-7-0, 2KOs) of Indonesia for 10 rounds featherweight bout. Completing the lineup of the 8-bout card are: Junrel Jimenez vs Margarito Moya, 8 rounds flyweight; Esneth Domingo vs John Kenan Villaflor, 6 rounds flyweight; and Jino Macapobre vs Rolien Getalada, 4 rounds flyweight.
