ALBERT PAGARA VS. CESAR JUAREZ FACTS AND FIGURES

Albert Pagara will defend his WBO intercontinental super bantamweight title against Cesar Juarez at Pinoy Pride 37: Fists of the Future on Saturday, July 9th at the San Mateo Events Center in San Mateo, California.

Pagara has a pro record of 26-0-0, 18 KO's. Juarez is 17-5-0, 13 KO's.

Pagara's KO rate is 69%. Juarez is 59%.

Rated by Boxrec in the superbantamweight, Pagara is No.8 in the whole world while Juarez is No. 65.

Pagara is 22 years old. Juarez is 2 years older at 24.

Pagara was born in Maasin City, Southern Leyte Philipines and resides in Cebu City. Juarez is from Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.

Pagara started his pro boxing on Januay 15, 2011. Juarez's debut was on May 20, 2010.

Both boxers have orthodox stance.

Pagara fought 26 times and boxed 119 rounds. Juarez has 22 bouts and 127 rounds.

Pagara is rated by The Ring #7, WBO #2, IBF #4, and WBC #10 super bantamweight. He also held the IBF intercontinental title. Juarez is WBC #30.

Both boxers will fight in the United States for the second time. Pagara stopped William Gonzales on October 17, 2015 at the Stubhub Center, Carson City, California. Juarez won by majority decision over Cesar Seda on March 28, 2015 at Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Aside from the US, Pagara's other international bout was in Dubai, UAE when he stopped Jesus Antonio Rios. Juarez's other fight outside Mexico was a unanimous decision loss to Nonito Donaire in the WBO world superbantamweight title fight in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Pagara won over Hugo Partida of Mexico by 1st round TKO. Juarez lost to Partida by majority decision.

While Pagara was undefeated, Juarez was defeated by Giovanni Delgado (split decision), Nonito Donaire (unanimous decision), Partida (majority decision), Jorge Lara (pts.) and Edgar Lozano (disqualification).

Juarez won by split decision over Francisco Leal. Raul Hirales knocked out Leal who died three days later of brain injury. Hirales was the same boxer who lost to Pagara in lopsided fashion. Pagara considered Hirales as his toughest opponent so far.
