HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION TYSON FURY IS FURIOUS, BLASTS IBF
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sat, 23 Jan 2016

WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury who won the titles from Wladimir Klitschko last November 28 has blasted the IBF for American bias after their new heavyweight champion Charles Martin was given a year to defend the title which he won last Saturday when Vyacheslav Glazkov was forced to quit with an injury and Martin won by a TKO in the second round.
Fury is furious after the IBF headed by American Daryl Peoples was stripped by the same governing body just 10 days after winning the belt from Wladimir Klitschko and the heavyweight world No 1 believes it is because they want their title to remain in the USA.
Fury told Sky Sports in Britain the International Boxing Federation want that title back in America and it's going to stay there for a while. He added. "You know what the IBF can do... I've already put their belt in the toilet."
Fury said."What gets me is why take it off the linear heavyweight champion. It's their loss. It's no longer my concern what they want to do with their belt and who they give it to. He said " the International Boxing Federation want that title back in America and it's going to stay there for a while."
The decision was confirmed five days after Martin won the vacant title after Vyacheslav Glazkov tore a ligament and was forced to retire after three rounds.
Fury told ESPN "Martin won the fight. So let him enjoy his new belt and he'll have a year to make his mandatory fight. By next week we will know who will be positioned for his mandatory challenger."
Fury went on, "It's not Charles Martin's fault. It was a birthday gift and he took it with both hands. The kid done well, it wasn't the other kid's fault he bust his knee, either."
"Good luck to him. I couldn't care less."
