ROMERO ?Ruthless? Duno, another undefeated prospect from the Sanman Promotions will fight against Jason ?Siaton Boy? Egera of Negros Oriental for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super featherweight crown on Feb. 13 at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in General Santos City.
It will be main supporting bout of the ?Brawl at the Mall: Glory?, the second edition of the boxing show by the Sanman Promotions.
The 20-year old hard-punching Duno has a clean record of 8 straight wins, 7 of them all by knockout, with no loss or draw. Duno, who hails from Tagum City, won all his five fights last year by stoppages.
He previously retired in the third round Eusebio Baluarte in Glan last October 7. Duno?s other victims in 2015 were Rey Liparon (1st rd. KO in Gensan Oval Plaza); Elmer Colve (5th rd. TKO in Zamboanga City); Arnel Acebuque (5th rd. TKO in Lagao Gym, Gensan); and Joas Apericio (4th rd. KO in SM City Davao).
?Excited na kaayo ko mudula sa akong unang championship,? said Duno, who recently arrived from a 3-week sparring partner sessions with a former Japanese world champion in Japan.
Egera, on the other hand, has a record of 21 wins with 10 knockouts against 6 loses and no draw.
?Egera has more experience than Duno,? said Sanman Promotions CEO Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil.
The 31-year old Egera, a southpaw won by a split decision to Japanese boxer Ryoji Okahata in Shiuoka, Japan in 2013 before losing to then world-rated Marvin Sonsona by retirement in the 8th round in Cebu.
In his last fight, Egera lost by a unanimous decision to Jimmy Paypa on December 27 in Cebu.
?Egera is now hungry for a victory. So Duno should not take him lightly,? said Manangquil. ? LITO DELOS REYES
