NBA -- D-Rose still iffy for season opener
By Ryan Wamsley PhilBoxing.com Thu, 15 Oct 2015

CHICAGO -- With the 2015-16 NBA season just around the corner, it remains up in the air whether Derrick Rose will be healthy enough to return in time for the Chicago Bulls' home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 27.
Rose's recent debacle involves a left orbital fracture he suffered last September 29 when he was hit by an elbow by an unnamed teammate during practice. He has successful surgery the following day.
"They still want him to be a little bit careful with the swelling and making sure his vision is back to where it is supposed to be, back to where it was before he got hit, before they want him to get anything going on with his blood pressure spiking, is kind of how I understand it, Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg told ESPNChicago.com.
The 2011 MVP, Rose played in just 100 regular season games the past three years, but he had stayed healthy for the most part of last season and appeared in all of the Bulls' 12 playoffs games.
