Gaballo, Laurente prevail in Gensan

WORLD-rated bantamweight contender Reymart “Assassin” Gaballo of General Santos City stopped Indian Pawan Kumar Arya in the 4th round Sunday night, August 31 at the Phela Grande Convention at the National Highway in Gensan.
The 28-year-old Gaballo landed a powerful combination against Arya.
“It's just a matter of focus,” said Gaballo, who was trained by Nonito Donaire Sr.
Gaballo improved his record to 30 wins and two loses with 25 knockouts.
Arya suffered his third loss against seven wins.
Meanwhile, Criztian Pitt "Golden Boy" Laurente remained undefeated by beating Hebi Marapu via unanimous decision for the IBF Pan Pacific lightweight title in the other main event.
The free boxing event was promoted by JC Manangquil, John Ray Manangquil and Dexter Tan.
It was sponsored by Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao and LGU Gensan in line with the Gensan Tuna Festival.
