?NO PROBLEM WITH PACQUIAO?S CONDITIONING? ? JUSTIN FORTUNE By Eddie Alinea PhilBoxing.com Thu, 05 Mar 2015 LOS ANGELES ? Conditioning coach Justin Fortune was impressed with what he saw in World Boxing Organization Manny Pacquiao. He had not seen the Filipino boxing icon since helping him win over Chris Algieri last November in Macau. ?Very impressive,? declared Fortune in an interview inside his Fortune Gym at Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood here where the fighting Sarangani Congressman held his second day of training Tuesday. ?Good news, really because we won?t be having a hard time in putting Manny back to his fighting form,? Fortune said. ?I was really surprised seeing him for the first time yesterday (Monday) because I was expecting him to be in a very bad shape following an almost four months of inactivity since the Algieri fight.? ?I don?t think there will be any problem as far as Manny?s conditioning aspect is concerned,? he said. ?Manny knows everything about preparing himself for a fight and that he?s proven time and time again.? ?Like before I know what exactly we will be doing. And that is filling what ever little things he still lacks. Filling, filing and filling,? the 5-foot-9 former Australian powerlifting record holder said. ?Yeah, I know, I mean we, Freddie and the training team, know exactly what to do,? Fortune said. ?Freddie, of course, will work on the master plan, the tactics Manny will use atop the ring. The strategies, he?s the court general.? ?Me, I?ll be concentrating on how to hammer out the weapon, the endurance. Put Manny beyond he could go,? the heavy coaching guru said. ?Against Algieri, we brought him to the shape fighters should be,? he emphasized. ?What he will be doing atop the ring, we would do twice as much off it, the ring-floor thing, stomach, etc. on whole range of different exercise.? Fortune expressed belief the three-time Fighter of the Year is 60 percent in shape. ?He moves the same as one week before he fought Algieri. ?We will fill the next 40 percent of what he lacks in the next two months,? he said, adding though that Pacquiao will be in shape within the next two weeks. He said he was amazed that Manny is in his present condition,? he said. ?By the time we go to sparring he will be ready? said, adding that Roach has already found who he chose.? According to Fortune, the guy he chose, a black fighter, has almost the same style as Mayweather. Sparring, he said, starts within the next three weeks.
