WBO ASIA PACIFIC HAS NEW SUPER-MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP!

Peter Kariuki Ngateri of New Zealand stopped Australian Dale Westerman in the seventh round minutes ago to win the WBO Asia Pacific super-middleweight crown at the Chandler Arena in Brisbane, Australia.
WBO Vice-President for Asia Pacific Leon Panoncillo was at ringside to supervise the event.
In the co-feature, Australia-based Filipino Ranee Ganoy gave former IBF super-featherweight champ Robbie Peden his worst beating so far, stopping the latter in the sixth round for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific lightweight crown.
It was Peden's worst loss, which came after his decision loss to Marco Antonio Barrera last year. Peden had also lost to Juan Manuel Marquez on a tenth-round TKO.
