NBA - Clippers beat Suns, win eight straight
By Shelley Dano PhilBoxing.com Wed, 12 Mar 2014

LOS ANGELES -- Blake Griffin had of his best night's a pro on Monday, scoring 37 points to lead the Los Angles Clippers to a 112-105 win over the Phoenix Suns at the Staples Center.
Griffin sank 14 of 16 field goals and his 22 points in the first quarter was the second highest point total in Clippers history. The team record for points scored in a quarter is 23, held by Baron Davis in January 1, 2010 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and by Randy Smith in October 20, 1973 against the Boston Celtics.
Adding to the Suns' woes was the support Griffin got from his fellow Clippers.
Darren Collison tallied 20 points and four assists while Chris Paul added 17 and 11 dimes. Matt Barnes had 13 and six boards and the Clippers improved to 45-20.
Goran Dragic paced the Suns with 23 and five assists while Gerald Green contributed 16. Phoenix, which is in a tough battle for a playoffs spot in the crowded Western Conference, dropped to 36-27. (SD)
