NBA -- Warriors maul Sixers behind Speights' 32 points

SAN FRANCISCO -- Barely a day after being trounced the Los Angeles Clippers by 45 points, the Philadelphia Sixers went down big again, this time surrendering to the Golden State Warriors, 123-80.
Marreese Speights starred for the Warriors in their Monday night romp at the Oracel Arena in Oakland by scoring 32 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Speights made 12 of his 15 field goals and 7-of-8 free throws.
"That was so funny, I started laughing," Speights told NBA.com after fans at Oracle began chanting "M.V.P.!!!" in support of his magical night.
Warriors ace Stephen Curry yielded much of the scoring to Speights but the streak-shooting guard still managed 23. Klay Thompson had a quiet six points and David Lee added 11 as Golden State improved to 31-21.
Rookie sensation Michael Carter-Williams provided much of the Sixers offense with 24 points while Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner chipped in 12 each. But the Sixers defense offered soft resistance and allowed the Warriors to shoot 43 of 88 field goals.
After a surprising 3-0 start, the Sixers fell to 15-38. (RPM)
