Pacquiao visits Knicks at the Garden, expressed willingness to fight in The Mecca of Boxing someday

New York -- Manny Pacquiao who is in town for the second leg of the press tour to promote his rematch with Tim Bradley, visited the world famous Madison Square Garden Monday night and watched the hometown Knicks game against the Portland Trailblazers.
Pacquiao, a basketball fan himself was well received by the New York crowd when his face was shown in the giant Jumbotron during the game which the visiting team won with the score of 94-90.
He was applauded loudly when his face was beamed during the game according to Daisuke Sugiura who covers the NBA for Dunkshoot Magazine, NBA Japan and Yahoo Japan.
Pacquiao, a known fan of rival Boston Celtics was interviewed during the half time by MSG Network?s Jill Martin.
?I am happy and excited to be here,? Pacquiao told Martin during the interview. He also revealed to Martin that his favorite Knicks player was superstar, Carmelo Anthony.
Pacquiao also told Martin that he wanted to fight at The Garden someday, which is also known as the ?Mecca of Boxing? owing to world famous and historic bouts that took place in the venue.
?I am looking forward to fighting here at Madison Square Garden and I like (it) here,? Pacquiao said.
?Hopefully soon,? He added.
Pacquiao was able to meet Anthony in the dugout after the game.
