NBA -- Lakers spoil Rondo's return with 107-104 win in Boston

LOS ANGELES -- After missing a total of 84 games following an ACL tear he sustained on January 25, 2013, Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo returned to action Friday night at the TD Garden.
Unfortunately, their long-time bitter rivals got in the way of a happy ending.
Pau Gasol scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and rookie Ryan Kelly notched a career-high 20 off the bench to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 107-10-4 win. Kendall Marshall added 19 and Jodie Meeks chipped in 17 as the Lakers improved to 15-25.
Rondo finished with eight points and four assists, but rust was evident in his first outing in nearly a year. Rondo made only 4-of-9 shots and had a turnover in 19 minutes on the floor.
"I felt pretty good. When I got back in the second quarter I got pretty winded, but that was expected. Other than that, I didn't feel like I was limited to anything tonight," Rondo told NBA.com.
Kelly Olynyk led the Celtics with 25 points while Gerald Wallace and Jeff Green combined for 26. Boston dropped to 14-27 overall. (SD)
