NBA -- Warriors make it two in a row over Lakers in China
By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Sun, 20 Oct 2013

SAN FRANCISCO -- For the second time in three days, the Golden State Warriors bested the Los Angeles Lakers in their two-game exhibition series in the NBA's Global Games leg in China.
Sweet shooting Klay Thompson drilled 10 of 14 field goals including 5-of-6 treys for 25 points and the Warriors routed the Lakers at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai on Friday night, 115-89.
Three nights before, the Warriors edged the Lakers 100-95 at the MasterCard Center in Beijing.
"It's always good to beat the Lakers. I've seen them rule the state of California for far too long so we want Golden State to be the team out West and it starts even tonight in the preseason," Thompson told NBA.com
David Lee also had a big hand in sweeping the Lakers, scoring 16 points on a night when Stephen Curry had a quiet six points in 17 minutes of play.
Golden State's Kent Bazemore and Draymond Green added 14 points apiece.
Pau Gasol led the Lakers with an all-around effort of 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Nick Young finished with nine markers. But it wasn't enough as the Lakers made only 33 of 80 field goals and just 6-of-24 threes.
Kobe Bryant made the trip but did not play. He joined the Lakers bench in the fourth quarter. (RSM)
