Dawson (39-3 -1, 26 KOs) will face Alex Bunema (31-9-2, 17 KO?s) for the vacant WBF Light Middleweight Title in the Main Event of CDL Boxing promotions ?Western Alliance? at the WA Italian Club, North Perth, Australia this Friday night. Dawson is a former two time world title challenger and is attempting to be the first Australian to hold world titles in 3 different combat disciplines Muay Thai, Thai Boxing and Boxing. Bunema is also a former world title challenger previously stepping in the ring with the likes of Jermain Taylor, Sergio Martinez and has a career highlight KO over Roman Karamazin who fought Australia?s Daniel Geale for the IBF Middlewieght title eliminator. ?I?ve come to fight, I?m going to take this title home with me!" Bunema said The Rock is very confident heading into Friday night and is looking forward to testing his preparation, skills and boxing ability against a former world title challenger in Alex Bunema. ?Bunema has fought the best pound for pound boxer on the planet in Sergio Martinez, and has fought on the big stage in Vegas, in World titles, in the home of boxing and I get the opportunity here in Perth in front of my family, friends and supporters,? Bryant faces Singdet Nonpitayakom whose recently gone the distance with both Australians Dennis Hogan and Dwight Richie. David Letizia faces current Queensland light heavyweight champion Josh Webb.
