Jerome Gonzales off to a marvelous start in J&P 10 Ball Cup at Pacman's Cue Club By Marlon Bernardino PhilBoxing.com Thu, 05 Feb 2026 Jerome Gonzales kicked off his title bid in the J&P 10 Ball Cup with aplomb after picking up his opening wins in Pacman's Cue Club, located at the World Wide Corporate Center on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City Wednesday night. Gonzales upset veteran player Eric Bayhon, 7-5. "It is a good start for me. I need to prepare for the next rounds. I'm excited for this event," said Gonzales. The champion will take home the top prize of P50,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan (sponsored by Navigator Japan) to compete in the Japan Open 2026. In other matches saw, Michael Solideo defeated Aaron Obiena, 7-6, Yreench Arawiran beat Joshua Lazarraga, 7-5, Edgar Dulvinar bested Ivan Jel Gereua, 7-2, John Paul Ladiana subdued Simon Matthews, 7-1, Ar John Caballero upset Eric Salud, 7-4, Carmelo Ibay shocked Lorenz Laureola, 7-5, and William Ang nipped Chino Button, 7-5. Meanwhile, Dylan Manalo is scheduled to compete on Thursday in this P200,000 total prizes tournament. Dylan is a 15 year old child prodigy from Mandaluyong City, and a Grade 10 student of La Salle Green hills.
