Daud Yordan targets Yuriorkis Gamboa under Pacquiao-Rios card By Brett Bonetti PhilBoxing.com Tue, 23 Jul 2013 ![]() ?Indonesian Thunder? Daud Cino Yordan (31-3, 23 KO?s) is already looking ahead for the first defense of his IBO World Lightweight Title. Yordan returned home a national hero to his home town of Sukadana, West Kalimantan, Indonesia following his unanimous decision victory over Argentinian Daniel ?Tatu? Brizuela (25-2-2, 8 KO?s) in the Main Event of Dragon Fire Promotions ?Thuderdome II? at Metro City Perth, Australia two weeks ago. Yordan made history and became the first Indonesian two weight division champion at Featherweight and Lightweight respectively. Yordan now wants to take on the best and the biggest names in the Lightweight division and respectfully extend a challenge to Yuriorkis Gamboa (23-0, 16 KO?s). When asked on a possible location for a clash with Gamboa, Yordan advised that the ideal location would be on the Manny Pacquiao v Brandon Rios blockbuster event in Macau on November 23. ?This will be a historical event in Asian boxing and I would love to be part of it and represent my people from Indonesia,? Yordan said. ?I will discuss this fight with my Promoters, Dragon Fire. They would have to reach an agreement with 50 cent, SMS Promotion & Top Rank, if not no problem, I?m ready for anyone, anywhere, anytime.? ?Top Rank are proven World Class promoters and Asian Boxing is booming so if the offer is right it would be a tremendous honour to fight on the same card as the legendary Manny ?Pacman? Pacquiao,? Yordan said. ?Manny is an inspiration to me, Pacquiao and Chris John are the two biggest names in Asian Boxing. I have watched Pacquiao since I was a young aspiring boxer.? ?His fights all action fights that have inspired my boxing technique." "I am Indonesian but from Chinese decent and it would be an amazing experience to fight from where my family originated from,? Yordan said. What a fight it would be, ?Indonesian Thunder? vs ?El Ciclon de Guant?namo?.
