GERALDO TO BATTLE SANCHEZ FOR WBC SUPER FLY SILVER INTERIM TITLE

21 year old Mark Anthony Geraldo will battle WBC super flyweight interim Silver champion David ?Tornado? Sanchez in Sonora. Mexico on June 1 in a fight card where former WBA flyweight champion Hernan ?Tyson? Marquez will face former IBF light flyweight champion Carlos ?El Olimpico? Tamara in a WBO title eliminator.
Geraldo will seek to avenge the controversial loss of another 21 year old Filipino, Marlon Tapales, who dropped a majority decision to Sanchez last February 23 in Mexico.
Geraldo who carries the monicker ?El Heneral? is coming off back ?to-back stoppage wins. He won by an 8th round TKO over Jessie Tuyor on August 10, 2012 after he scored an impressive 2nd round knockout of Japan?s Hirofumi Mukai in Osaka on April 7, 2012.
Geraldo has a record of 28-4-3 with 12 knockouts while Sanchez has a record of 20-2-2 with 15 knockouts.
