NBA -- Bulls end season on high note with 95-92 victory By Ricardo Gardunio PhilBoxing.com Thu, 18 Apr 2013 ![]() CHICAGO -- The Washington Wizards came to Chicago Wednesday night to face a Chicago Bulls team still battling for playoff seeding. The Bulls needed a win or an Atlanta Hawks loss to shore up the 5th seed and get an arguably easier matchup with the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs. The Bulls decided to take their fates into their own hands within a 95-92 victory. Chicago came charging out of the gates in the first quarter, scoring the first 10 points of the game and leading by as many as 21 in the first quarter. However, the Bulls let the lead slip and the Wizards were able to close the gap and stay within striking distance all game, but the Bulls never trailed throughout. An AJ Price 3-pointer tied the game at 85 apiece, but a Jimmy Butler alley-oop dunk put the Bulls back in front for good. Carlos Boozer continues to have a hot hand for Chicago, scoring 19 points to go with 15 rebounds. Kirk Hinrich scored 18 points and dished out five dimes, and Nazr Mohammed scored a season high 17 points along with seven rebounds. AJ Price played extremely well for Washington all night contributing 24 points, while John Wall added 23.. Chicago starts their post-season this Saturday in Brooklyn as they square off against Deron Williams and the Nets. When Coach Tom Thibodeau was asked after the game how he felt about his first round matchup, he replied "They're really good and they're the higher seed, so they earned that. and we are going to have to be ready. They play hard..... so we have to be ready for them." The Bulls will have their work cut out for them.
