CHICAGO -- With a playoffs berth already on hand, the Chicago Bulls entered the United Center on Tuesday night hoping to climb up the ladder and snatch a higher seed when the NBA postseason begins April 20.

But after another lackluster performace which led to a 101-98 loss to the visiting Toronto Raptors, the Bulls' goal of having homecourt advantage in the opening round of the playoffs became even more distant

"We got to get it right. Fast. We went from playing pretty good to struggling," Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters during his post-game press conference in the bowels of the United Center.

The Bulls were just two games behind in the race for the No.4 spot in the Eastern Conference, but with their lrecent oss coupled with the (45-32) a Brooklyn Nets' victory, that deficit is now a full three games with five outings left in their schedule.

Behind 29 points and 11 rebounds of center Brook Lopez, plus 17 and 24 boards from Reggie Evans, the Nets easily dispatched the Sixers, 104-83, at the Barclays Center.

Not only that, now that they've dropped to 42-35, the Bulls are in danger of slipping to No.6 as their lead over the 42-36 Atlanta Hawks has been reduced to a half game.

The Bulls hope to snap a two-game losing skid Thursday night when they host the red-hot New York Knicks, winners of 13 straight. (AG)
