Former Nietes Foe, Mexican Ram?n Garc?a Hirales, Won by KO in Baja California By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sun, 24 Mar 2013 Mexican former Jr. Flyweight World champion Ram?n "El Principe" Garc?a Hirales (17-4-1, 10 KO?s) successfully returned to the winner?s circle with a knockout victory over fellow Mexican Jos? Guadalupe "Lobito" (Little Wolf) Mart?nez of Tamaulipas in the main event of the first ever boxing card staged at the newly built Arena California in La Paz, Estado de Baja California Sur, M?xico. From the beginning of the battle, "El Principe" went at "El Lobito" attacking him with well-delivered debilitating combinations that quickly took its toll on the Tamaulipas fighter, forcing him to the canvas and out action during the action of the third round. Ram?n "El Pr?ncipe" Garc?a Hirales, currently WBC # 8 Jr. Flyweight contender, has faced some outstanding Filipino 108-pounders like Johnriel Casimero (reigning IBF Jr. Flyweight world champion), whom he defeated by split decision in 2010. In addition, ?El Principe? (The Prince) Ram?n Garc?a Hirales, 30, lost his Jr. Flyweight World title to current world champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes in 2011 in Bacolod ? an intense close fight that this writer saw it a draw (writer?s personal opinion). "I'd fight Nietes again. Our fight was close and exciting, fans liked it. So a rematch should be fair and I'd be happy to go back to the Philippines again," has said Garcia Hirales from his home in Baja California. Plus, Ramon?s twin brother, world rated Ra?l "Rayito" Garc?a (33-2-1, 21 KO's), will dispute the vacant WBC Silver Jr. Flyweight green/golden belt to compatriot Pedro "Jibran" Guevara (18-1-1, 13KO's) of Mazatl?n this coming Saturday (March 30) in Guasave, Sinaloa. The current WBC Jr. Flyweight World Champion is their fellow Mexican 27 year-old Adri?n "El Confesor" Hern?ndez (26-2-1, 16 KO's) of Toluca, still without opponent. Many fans in he Philippines would like to see Hernandez defending against WBC #6 Jr. Flyweight Jonathan Taconing (14-2-1, 11 KO's) of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte Both identical twin brothers, Ram?n (El Pr?ncipe) and Ra?l (Rayito), are trained by their long time coach professor Leo Camacho of La Paz, Baja California Sur and handled by ECO Promotions. The Ram?n Garc?a Hirales-Jos? Guadalupe "Lobito" Martinez non-title fight in La Paz, Baja California Sur, was a production of Promociones del Pueblo of Oswaldo Kuchle in association with ECO Promotions of Edrulfo Castillo and the support of boxing sponsor Grupo Modelo (Cerveza Corona).
