NBA -- Curry's season-high 38 points not enough, Warriors fall By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Thu, 28 Feb 2013 ![]() SAN FRANCISCO -- Stephen Curry made seven 3s on the way to a season-high 38 points, but it couldn't save the Golden State Warriors from the streaking Indiana Pacers, who won their fifth straight game following a 108-97 triumph at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Curry converted 14 of 20 field goals but the Warriors, hot from 3-point range (12-of-21), shot poorly from the field overall, 43.4 percent. And they had 20 turnovers which the Pacers quickly turned into 29 points. And while Curry found his mark, the other Warriors couldn't. Klay Thompson shot just 5-for-14 for 13 points while Jarrett Jack missed eight of 10 field goals for 11 points. All-Star David Lee did a little better and tallied another routine double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. There were ample producers on the other side, though. David West drained 12 of 16 field goals for 28 points while point guard George Hill added 23 points and seven assists. All-Star Paul George finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists for Indiana, which shot 48.3 percent from the field. Nursing only a 54-53 advantage after two quarters, the Pacers started to pull away with a 31-20 third quarter run. A scrum with 6:10 remaining in the fourth period caused the ejection of Indiana center Roy Hibbert while technical fouls were assessed on Curry and the other players from both sides who were involved in the pushing and shoving that culminated under the basket and ended on the edge of the court.. "To tell you the truth, it was between me and David Lee. I don't know why he (Curry) came at me like that. Other guys want to run up on me, that's I don't know. It's unfortunate. Just happy the team won," Hibbert told NBA.com as he tried to shed light on the melee that marred the bitterly fought contest. Having improved their record to 36-21, the Pacers are on top the Central Division with a four-game lead over the 32-25 Chicago Bulls.
