Filipino Boxers Make Weight in Brico Santig's Valentine's Show in Thailand

PhilBoxing.com

Filipinos boxers and coaches pose for a group photo with promoter Brico Santig (L) and supervisor Carlos Costa during Friday's weighin in Bangkok.

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Brave Filipino Boxers John Michael Zulueta, Rockie Bactol, Mark Jason "Kingbabyboy" Almacen, and Alvin "Felemon" Dologuin successfully made weight ahead of their respective battles on Valentine's Day at the Highland Boxing Gym in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

The marathon 19-bout pro boxing event is promoted by veteran Filipino man of boxing Brico Santig, with the bell for the first fight chiming hard at 1:00 pm Thailand Time; and no Filipino boxing fan in Bangkok can afford to miss it!

In one the much-awaited bouts, undefeated former world-ranked light flyweight John Michael Zulueta (19-0-3, 12 KOs) from the beautiful Lungsod sa Calatrava in Negros Occidental will exchange heavy fire against complicated Kung Srirupramat (7-4, 3 KOs) in a thrilling action-packed war.

Unbeaten Negros Occidental light flyweight John Michael Zulueta looks serious, focused and strong at the scale during Friday's weighin in Bangkok.

The serious and focused Zulueta aims to claim his 20th pro win against no defeat as well as a return to the world-rankings in the light flyweight division. The referee for this fight is Carlos Costa of Cebu.

Strong looking Rockie Bactol steps on the scale during Friday's weighin in Bangkok

Also, Big Warrior Heart Mindanao Middleweight Rockie Bactol (4-2, 4 KOs) will deal with the charging forward of experienced former Muay Thai combatant Pluem Wangkhlakland. The two 26-year-old boxers will collide in a scheduled 8-round rumble that might not make the distance.

Zamboangueno Alvin Dologuin makes weight in Brico Santigs show in Bangkok.

Also, Zamboangueño southpaw Alvin "Felemon" Dologuin (2-4-1, 2 KOs) will cross fire against Phanuwat Sit Kongphong in a six-chapter saga in the flyweight division.

Almacen flexes during Friday's weighin in Bangkok.

In addition, 21-year-old Mark Jason "Kingbabyboy" Almacen (1-0-1, 0 KOs) of Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, engages tough Ne Lin Aung, 26, of Myanmar in a six-chapter war set to thrill fans. "Kingbabyboy's" elder brother, Alexander Almacen (3-0, 0 KOs), will see action here in Bangkok on February 28.

The ring physician in charge was Thailand's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jirasak Bubpachart. Supervisor for the weigh-in was Carlos Costa of Cebu.

The 19-bout pro-boxing event is promoted by Brico Santig and Supanat Chanram of Highland Boxing Promotions.

Coaches assisting the Filipino boxers during fighting time are coach Jomar Fajardo of Iloilo and coach Frank Jaro of Rizal.

Will Zulueta, Rockie, Kingbabyboy and Felemon score wins as his fans hope? Or will they taste defeat? What will happen!

Best of luck to the Pinoys Boxers, and Happy Boxing's 2026 Valentine's Day in Thailand, Laban Pinoy!!!
