De Mori and Reed Collide Friday
By Brett Bonetti PhilBoxing.com Thu, 20 Dec 2012
Australian Heavyweight Mark ?The Dominator? de Mori (19-1-2, 17 KO's) will face American veteran ?Dangerous? Damon Reed (46-16, 32 KO?s) at the Jupiters Hotel & Casino, Queensland Australia this Friday.
De Mori is aiming for another strong win to raise his prospects of a world title fight in 2013.
After a fight with former WBC World Heavyweight Champion Samuel "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter fell through, Damon Reed stepped up to take the fight with de Mori.
This will be de Mori?s third fight for 2012 and ?The Dominator? is pleased to be more active following combination of bad luck and cancellations the previous two years.
?I can?t just win this fight with Reed, I have to dominate and look really good, otherwise any chance of getting a title fight is off the cards,? de Mori said.
?The Dominator? who is signed with Promoter Don King has been impressive in his last three fights in dismantling Dominique Alexander, Rob Calloway and Troy Weida.
Reed says he has spent time preparing himself to fight de Mori.
?I am 100% prepared to fight Mark,? Reed said.
?I was with Dominique Alexander when he fought Mark and was not one bit impressed, I think Mark is a pretty boy who is 95% show and 5% go.?
I am very excited about coming to Australia and proving that Mark is a complete Fraud,? Reed said.
Reed?s trainer Craig Cummings is confident his fighter can defeat de Mori.
Damon and I have both fought for world titles and been up against the best, it takes more than big biceps and a stupid hairstyle to bother us.?
?Damon will expose de Mori as a lumbering pretender," Cummings said.
Reed also sent a message to de Mori on Facebook this week that simply said ?I?m coming for u Mark!?
