WORLD CHAMPION NIETES, PINOY PRIDE FIGHTERS DEEP IN TRAINING AFTER PROMO TOUR PhilBoxing.com Wed, 09 May 2012  Two division world champion and current WBO Light Flyweight World Champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes and Pinoy Pride fellow fighters Milan ?Metodico? Melindo and Genesis ?Azukal? Servania are now in deep and heavy training for their respective fights on the highly awaited Pinoy Pride 14: Night Of Champions. After nearly two weeks of training in Manila coupled with their promotional tour at the ABS-CBN Studios, the Nietes led Pinoy Pride fighters are back in the Queen City of the South Cebu to complete their physical and skills training at the ALA Gym. The fighters were on a Pinoy Pride 14 television and radio promotional tour at the ABS-CBN Studios where Nietes did a cameo on the popular sitcom Toda Max where A list celebrities Robin Padilla, Tony Gonzaga and Angel Locsin starred in. The world champ Nietes played himself who acted as a trainer of Toni Gonzaga?s character and squeezed in lines inviting the show?s viewers to watch Pinoy Pride 14: Night of Champions. Nietes also had a one on one interview with the king of talk Boy Abunda on his late night show. Melindo and Servania were likewise busy with their part in promoting the boxing show Pinoy Pride by shooting and recording ad videos and did some television and radio appearances as well. PINOY PRIDE 14: NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS will be featuring three championship fights with Nietes defending his WBO World Light Flyweight Championship against the dangerous and credible WBO and IBF World #7 Felipe Salguero of Mexico. Milan Melindo will be fighting against former world champion from Colombia Jesus Gelez for the WBO Intercontinental Flyweight belt while young 20 year-old prospect Genesis ?Azukal? Servania will have the test of his life against the notorious bullheaded pressure fighter ?The Real? Genaro ?Poblanito? Garcia. The 14th edition of ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN mega boxing roadshow will be live at the Resort?s World Manila on June 2, 2012 and will be shown the next day June 3, 2012 at ABS-CBN Channel 2 10:15 AM with a reply on Studio 23 of the same day at a time to be announced within the coming days.  |
