Ana Julaton ready for War againts Segura!!! PhilBoxing.com Sat, 05 May 2012  3-time World Champion, Ana Julaton, looked fast and furious as she did her mitts in her final practice for the Scheduled Ten Round fight with the much Larger Power Puncher, Yolanda "La Negra" Segura, who has a 90% KO ratio, and has knocked out her last three opponents. Segura, who has been fighting above 130lbs recently, agreed to fight Julaton at a catchweight of 126lbs in this Ten-round Non Title Main Event in Kanasin, Mexico. Many are excited to see Julaton again and some of the locals are starting to call the Female Fighting Pride of the Philippines a local name of their own as she is reffered to as "Huracan de Yucatan" (Translation the Hurricane of Yucatan). Julaton was welcomed by the Baseball Team "Yucatan Leones" last night and was given a gift by the President of Yucatan baseball, a Leones Team Jersey with the inscription "Huracan de Yucatan". Julaton was honored and also had fun as she threw the first pitch in the ball game. The President of the team was quoted saying "This is your home and you will always be welcome here in Yucatan and the Leones baseball team" Promoter Allan Tremblay has an ambitious plan for Julaton and has expressed in the press conference yesterday that he would like Ana to fight WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Jackie Nava who is promoted by Zanfer Promotions (they also handle Juan Manuel Marquez and Rafael Marquez). Jackie Nava who is also in Preparation will be fighting May 5th to make her first title defense of the WBA crown. "I would like to have Ana fight Jackie next and I'm willing to make the deal for the fight to happen here in Mexico or if plans come together we can do the fight in the Philippines...with Marcos vs Julaton we saw 40,000 people in attendance in Argentina, I believe Julaton vs Nava in the Philippines or Mexico could show record breaking attendance numbers also as you have two of the best in boxing with Nava vs Julaton," promoter Allan Tremblay said in his interview with one of Mexico's Top Boxing writer Juan Carlos Guitierrez. Julaton vs Segura will be shown on GMA Network.  |
