Marco Singwangcha KO?s Llanos in two rounds, wins PBF title

PhilBoxing.com

Sibonga, Cebu ? Marco Singwangcha did not waste time demonstrating who was the superior fighter as he backed up veteran Nelson Llanos in the opening round with accurate punches to the body and head. In the second, Singwangcha trapped Llanos in the neutral corner and dropped him with hard body shots. Llanos got up but an unimpeded left hook to the midsection from Singwangcha sent Llanos sprawling in his own corner. The referee signalled the end at the 2:59 mark.

The slugger formerly known as Marco Demecillo also won the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) Bantamweight title. He bears the surname of his sponsor, Thai Promoter Naris Singwangcha, who awarded him additional cash for his victory. This fight was the main event of a fight card held last Sunday in the southern municipality of Sibonga. Promoter Rex ?Wakee? Salud plans to bring Marco to Las Vegas and fight in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez.

Marlou Sandoval Singwangcha won by TKO in the 3rd round against Marlo Talili. Sandoval scored a knockdown in round two and in the third, Talili?s corner threw in the towel after he was at the receiving end of more punches. Official time ? 0:46.

Lobert Bayo beat Erwin Pulvera by unanimous decision in a rough and bruising six round bout. The scorecards read 59-55, 59-55 and 60-54. Sesustener Llanera Singwangcha and Honey Boy Vidad fought to a four round majority draw. The scores ? 39-37 Llanera and two judges had it 38-38.
