Boxing fans in Tubod, Lanao del Norte will get to see hometown hero Marlon Tapales in action against Yodpichai Sithsaithong of Thailand this Saturday at the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium. Tapales beat Alejandro Solorio by majority decision after six rounds in his overseas debut at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas one day before the megafight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley.
Team Sithsaithong arrived yesterday and was greeted by provincial Governor Mohammad Khalid Q. Dimaporo. The protagonists will have their official weigh-in Friday. They are set to fight at 115 lbs.
