Marjohn Yap of Cagayan de Oro won by third round TKO over Gedeon Amba of Mandaue City in a superbantamweight contest . A well timed right straight stunned Amba who was trapped helpless in his own corner prompting the referee to stop the fight at the 2:26 mark.

Canillas came out with guns blazing and scored flash knockdowns in the first and second rounds. Sledgehammer hooks from Canillas kept Caday on the defensive through the entire fight.
