BAUTISTA HEADLINES "HAMON SA KAMPEON"

CEBU CITY--Comebacking Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista is expected to have his hands full when he takes on Thailand's reigning WBC International featherweight champ Rachamongkol Sor Pleonchit on Oct. 16 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
The bout topbills the "Hamon sa Kampeon" boxing extravaganza which starts 5PM, with two other top ALA fighters also set to see action.
Bautista will try to bounce back after a loss to Heriberto Ruiz late last year, which was followed by a hand operation that saw him sidelined for several months before he could train again at the gym.
Pleonchit, a protege of Thailand's promoter Kokiet Panachiyarom who is based in Bangkok, holds the WBC International title, and is expected to give Bautista something to worry about in their 12-round encounter.
In the chief support, ALA fighter Czar Amonsot sees action once again hoping to notch another win following his failed attempt at the world title against Michael Katsidis.
Amonsot took several months off after a CT Scan found some specks in his head, although later results cleared him of any life-threatening head injuries following the Katsidis brawl.
Since returning to the ring, Amonsot has racked up two wins against Zoel Fidal and Morris Chule.
Also seeing action in the card is young lightweight fighter Jason Pagara.
