Pacquiao should close his door to a Mayweather fight
By Granville Ampong PhilBoxing.com Thu, 01 Jan 2009

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Current Pound-for-Pound King Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 knockouts) vs. International Boxing Organization Light Welterweight Champion Ricky "Hitman" Hatton (45-1-0, 32 knockouts) will turn the spotlight virtually on two battlefronts, bearing a precursor to a potential SUPER MEGA FIGHT - whoever wins this match - with "retired", undefeated World Boxing King Floyd Mayweather, Jr., this May 2, 2009, Saturday, at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas on HBO Pay-per-View, if current negotiations between two camps are reached.
But, ?Pacquiao should close his door to a Mayweather fight,? A.T. Williams said, one of the close associates of the ?retired?, undisputed, undefeated Pound-for-Pound King Floyd Mayweather, Jr., whom this writer met today at the Gold Gym in Los Angeles.
Asked as to why he believes that a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight should not happen: ?Floyd will brutally knock him out within 7 rounds,? he said. ?That, Pacquiao will surely regret for the rest of his life.?
A.T. Williams said Mayweather gives high regard to what the new Boxing Superstar Manny Pacquiao has been doing outside the ring.
?Floyd sees the best character of a man in Manny Pacquiao,? Williams said. ?And, he knows how much Pacquiao is loved by his countrymen.?
But, ?His countrymen, as for now, have the responsibility to protect him from getting killed in the ring because Floyd will surely rock him from beat-to-beat to the canvas without cutting short of total knockout.? He added, ?And tell Freddie Roach that Floyd said he should keep his mouth shut!?
