Margarito vs. Mosley - dawning a come back of Miguel Cotto
By Granville Ampong PhilBoxing.com Mon, 22 Dec 2008

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Whether you like it or not, former WBA Welterweight Champion Miguel Cotto is lurking in the twilight ? revitalizing his energies and focus, in fact - as these two great men, Margarito (36-5-0, 27 knockouts) and Mosley (45-5-0, 38 knockouts), whom he both fought in the shade of glory and failure, collide on January 24, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
?Cotto (32-1-0, 26 knockouts) still stands as the common denominator of the Margarito-Mosley fight,? E.G. Torres said who claims to be a close associate of Cotto Team, ?In fact, despite his TKO loss to Margarito, he remains a potential threat to Margarito, if a rematch between them materializes.?
Margarito scored a brutal knockout last July at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, that ended Cotto?s trail-blazing record, via TKO in the eleventh, handing him his first professional defeat.
But, the loss has not haunted him.
Cotto, a Puerto Rican Star, vowed to turn the outcome around. In fact, he still believes he is the better fighter against the two front-runners.
Months before their fight, Cotto won a unanimous decision over Mosley.
Meanwhile, Cotto will fight Michael Jennings (34-1-0, 16 knockouts) at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on February 21, 2009.
