WHAT ROUND WILL IT REALLY BE?

PhilBoxing.com

Los Angeles, CA:- The hype must really be nearing its peak. I say these because different answers are given to the seemingly common question, ?When will the knock-out happen??

In a report by Mark Kriegal of FoxSports.com, Oscar de la Hoya in response to a question asking him to comment on Freddie Roach?s prediction as to when Pacquiao will finish him, responded by saying -?we will catch him in five so we don?t get to nine.?

I find de la Hoya?s response very interesting. To say the least, I think it?s simply a reply for convenience tailored to the question at the moment.

Or perhaps, its just pure hype!

In one of the many interviews de la Hoya gave last Wednesday at Big Bear, we clearly heard him say :-? I can?t predict the round, but seven is my lucky number. So it may be on the 7th round.?

Now he is saying it will come in five?

Come on Oscar, when will it really be?

Or, is it even coming?

On the other side of the coin, looking at it from the reports from the Philippines, most predict that it will be de la Hoya who is going to end down on the canvas.

Such predictions I guess are the stuff that make a big fight even more interesting. Read: More PPV. The hype is so contrasting, it isn?t even funny anymore!

Wait until we hear from the good old man Bob Arum. I bet he would give us another prediction that is totally opposite with what Richard Schafer said. But then again, that would not really be a surprise isn?t it?

Whatever round it will happen, or if it ever happens at all, in the end I am guessing no one may be right on the button.

For all we know, the fight may even end up being decided by the judges, or it may result in a draw.

At any rate, be it a KO, a decision, or a draw, the only ultimate winners will be de la Hoya, Pacquiao, and the two promotions company that put up the so-called ?Dream Match?.

Indeed it will be a dream match. But only in terms of the insane revenue the fight will generate.

But, when will the knock-out really happen?

At this point, who really cares. Just give the fans a fight to remember. No more and no less!
