DONAIRE CONFIDENT BROTHER GLEN WILL WIN WORLD TITLE
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sat, 05 Jul 2008
 Glen Donaire.
IBF/IBO flyweight champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire is confident that elder brother Glenn would win the IBF light flyweight title from Ulises ?Archie? Solis when they clash in a title fight in Sonora, Mexico on July 12.
Donaire, in an overseas telephone conversation with Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today said was ?doing very well, is really in shape and ready to make things happen.?
The IBF flyweight champion said that despite his record of 20 knockouts in 26 wins with only 1 loss and 2 draws including TKO wins last year over Rodel Mayol (8th round TKO) and Bert Batawang (9th round TKO)Solis ?is not tough. He doesn?t want to get hit but everytime that he gets hit, he gets rocked.?
Nonito said his brother has ?a lot of power and if he can knock guys out at 115, 112 before, 108 is very tiny. Its like me when I was fighting at 122, 118 those guys were tough but when I fought at 112 it was just a one-punch knockout? in obvious reference to his stoppage of Vic Darchinyan to win the IBF title.
Donaire said his brother would leave for Mexico on Monday and he would follow on Wednesday to support him and ?witness history? because should Glenn Donaire win then there will be two Filipino brothers as world champions at the same time although brothers Dodie Boy and Gerry Penalosa were also world champions in different weight divisions.
Nonito said that he?s been the only sparring partner of Glenn because he simulates the style of Solis although Nonito says he?s ?much faster than Solis.?
