Basil fights Escriber for vacant interim PBF light flyweight on Aug. 23

CARL Jeffrey “Ibaloi Warrior” Basil of Baguio City will battle with Reycar Escriber of Mandaluyong City for the vacant interim PBF light flyweight title on August 23 at the Multi-Purpose Building Covered Court in Salapan, San Juan City.
The 26-year-old Basil [7-2-1, 4KOs] recently disqualified Kevin Villanueva of General Santos City in the 2nd round last January 18, 2025 at Sablayan Astrodome in Sablayan.
Escriber [4-3-0, 1KO], on the other hand, lost to Carlo Diaz VII of Laguna by a UD last July 8, 2025 in Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
Vilma Acosta of Hardstone Monis Promotions is the promoter while matchmaker is Art Monis.
It is co-promoted by Boxglobe Sports and Entertainment with the support of Mayor Francis Zamora and Punong Barangay Charles Tejoso.
