By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Thu, 19 Jun 2025 ![]() CEBU, Philippines — In a hard-fought battle in Tokyo, Japan, Thanongsak Simsri of Thailand (39-1, 34 KOs) outmaneuvered Filipino Cristian Araneta (25-3, 20 KOs), securing a split decision victory and claiming the vacant IBF 108 world title. Scorecards read 115-112, 116-111, and 113-114 in favor of Simsri, highlighting the fight's competitive nature.
