WEIGHTS FROM NEW YORK: HITCHINS - 140 LBS., KAMBOSOS - 139.4 LBS.

The iconic Madison Square Garden is buzzing once again as Brooklyn's own Richardson Hitchins and Australia's George Kambosos Jr. both successfully made weight today for their IBF World Junior-Welterweight title bout, headlining tomorrow's Matchroom Boxing event. The weigh-ins concluded Friday, setting the stage for a compelling night of boxing this Saturday, June 14.
Richardson Hitchins (140 lbs), fighting in his hometown, looked confident and ready to challenge for the world title. Standing opposite him, former unified Lightweight World Champion George Kambosos Jr. came in slightly lighter at 139.4 lbs, appearing determined to add another world championship to his resume. This 12-round contest promises to be a high-stakes affair as both fighters vie for the coveted IBF junior welterweight belt.
The co-feature will be a crucial IBF World Lightweight title eliminator, as Cuba's Andy Cruz weighed in at 135 lbs, while Japan's Hironori Mishiro registered 134.6 lbs. This 12-round bout is a pivotal step towards a world title shot for the victor.
The card will kick off with "Before the Bell" action streaming live on Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel from 7:15 PM ET. The first bell is slated for 7:20 PM ET.
