Tapales to fight Bacalso in Bula on March 12

GABRIEL Tapales, younger brother of former world chairman Marlon “Nightmare” Tapales will fight against Jelo Bacalso of Digos City on March 12 at the Bula Gym in Bula, General Santos City.
The 21-year-old Tapales had recently stopped Mike Kinaadman of Iligan City in the 5th round last December 27 in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
Tapales, a southpaw, also beat Ernesto Camiguing by a unanimous decision last October 3 in Glan.
Bacalso, on the other hand, had five fights last year with three wins and two loses.
In his last fight, Bacalso was knocked out in the 7th round by RV Deniega of General Santos City last December 27 in Isulan.
Bacalso has a total of six wins with four knockouts but with seven loses and two draws while Tapales has six wins with five knockouts and one loss.
There will be seven more fights according to promoter Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions.
