UNDEFEATED Kha Lu of Australia arrived last December 15, Sunday in General Santos City and immediately had a brief practice.
The 24-year-old Lu, who arrived with his trainer Christian Pocev and Andrew Eglezos are staying with the Grand Summit Hotel.
“Arrive also with a few other boys that are here to watch,” said Lu.
Lu is set to fight former three-time world champion Katsunari Takayama of Japan for the vacant International Boxing Organization [IBO] World minimumweight title fight on December 18 at Bula Gym.
“Gensan is beautiful, the people and the place. Food is great. I heard tuna was the best here,” said Lu.
Lu was “just doing light sessions, padwork and shadow boxing”.
“I’m just 46 kilograms already,” said Lu [7-0-0, 3KOs].
Lu recently scored a unanimous decision against Watcharin Buacharoen of Thailand last March 16, 2024 at The Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Australia.
The fight between Lu and Takayama is expected to be all action and full of fireworks.
The 12-round title-fight is promoted by the Sanman Boxing Promotion under Jean Claude Manangquil, John Ray Manangquil and Dexter Tan.
