Taimoor Khan, Usman Wazeer Stop Foes, Complete Results from Thailand

PhilBoxing.com

BANGKOK, Thailand – Highland Boxing Promotions produced another sizzling event at the luxurious SpacePlus Night Club in Bangkok, Thailand, with Taimoor Khan, Usman Wazeer, Jessebelle Pagaduan and Matt Floyd claiming thrilling wins.

The 15-bout pro boxing event - billed as "The Contender" - unfolded Thursday, June 27, with video of all the fights available at the YouTube channel and Facebook Page of Highland Boxing Promotions.

In one of the main fights, electrifying undefeated world-ranked power-puncher "The Diamond Boy" Taimoor Khan (13-0, 12 KO's) of Pakistan massacred Nattapon Plangpimai (21-5) for a round two TKO win to earn the ABF (Asian Boxing Federation) Heavyweight Strap.

Also, unbeaten Australian Light Heavyweight Champion Matt Floyd (10-0, 5 KO's) of Perth flattened in three frames Thoedsak Sinam to take home the WBC Asia Silver 175-Lbs Belt.

In addition, popular WBO Welterweight World Youth Champion Usman Wazeer (13-0, 9 KO's) of Pakistan stopped in three frames Oatsada Sirianantakun to keep his unblemished record intact.

Usman's WBO youth world title was not on the line.

Malaysian defending WBC Asia Continental 175-lbs Champion Adli "Golden Boy" Hafidz (13-2, 8 KO's) of Johore Bahru failed to keep his belt by being bested by Thailand’s brave heart Rattawut Thongaram (7-1).

Scores were unanimous for the strong but soft-spoken Thongaram.

However, in a rather uncolorful contest, tricky veteran Sukpraserd Ponpitak (30-19) of Thailand used every dirty trick in the book to narrowly edge Armenian Mikael Arutyunyan (9-2, 6 KO's) for a close majority decision win.

Obviously, Sukpraserd should have been deducted points for his antics and anti-sportsmanship behavior on the ring, repeatedly wrestling Mikael to the canvas during clinches or any time he had the chance. But that did not happen.

In another combat, Singapore's hard-hitting 154-pounder Abdelelah Karroum (13-0, 10 KO's) decisioned former Muay Thai combatant Chaiwat Mueanphong (9-6) of Thailand.

RESULTS OF THE WOMEN'S FIGHTS:

• Filipina former 3-time world title challenger Jessebelle "Jazzy Jezzy" Pagaduan (14-2-1, 5 KO's) of Baguio, Philippines, decisioned younger Pimchanok Thepjanda of Thailand to conquer the vacant WBC Asia Flyweight Title.

• In the WBO International 112-lbs contest, Hin Ting Chan (6-1, 2 KO's) of Hong Kong was decisioned by Thai lady warrior Peeyalux Sanpokang.

• Former Australian Female Middleweight Champion Connie Chan (5-7, 2 KO's) of Brisbane dropped and stopped strong and brave Anchalee Mankong.

• Plus, Australian former WBA Female Inter-Continental 115-lbs Champ Linn Sandstrom (8-3-2, 2 KO's) of Sydney and unbeaten Prakayrat Wongsuta fought to a majority draw.

MORE RESULTS FROM SHOW JUNE 27 IN THAILAND:

Unbeaten 20-year-old Briton Lightweight Salman Mirza (6-0, 4 KO's) of Dundee, Scotland, knocked out Sornram Sopakul in three rounds.

Then, in a shocker, 147-pounder Joel Lewis (4-1, 1 KO) of Perth, Australia was halted in three by hard-swinging Mahdi Sarbaz (3-1, 2 KO's) of Heris, Iran.

And, another hard-hitting Iranian, 21-year-old middleweight Amir Hossein Samiei Seyghaldehi (3-0, 3 KO's) of Gazvin, Iran quickly battered and sent to the shower rooms American William Chope (4-2-1, 3 KO's) of Martinez, California.

The much younger Amir did not give a second to the tall American to even breath, going all over him with a rough assault, ravaging him on a neutral corner for a fast round one TKO win. The third man had to intervene.

Fans may watch all the fights for this show from the Facebook Page of Highland Boxing Gym or the YouTube Channel of Highland Boxing Promotions.

Billed as "The Contender," the event was promoted by Supanat Chanram, Brico Santig and Maslyn Must of Highland Boxing Promotions in association with SpacePlus Night Club, and the Singwancha Foundation.
