'KO KID' GANOY TO FIGHT ON BIG JULY 19 CARD IN CEBU
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Mon, 09 Jun 2008

IBF Pan Pacific lightweight champion Ranee ?KO Kid? Ganoy who has been somewhat of a sensation in Australia where he?s been fighting out of the Dido Bohol stable and scoring a number of impressive victories is one of the major attractions in a big fight card of well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani set for July 19 at the Cebu Coliseum.
The 28 year old Ganoy won the Pan Pacific title with an eighth round KO of former world featherweight title challenger Robbie Peden who lost to Marco Antonio Barrera and was battered by Ganoy in his comeback bid.
The hard-hitting Ganoy regarded as one of the biggest punchers in the 135 pound division proved this when he successfully defended his IBF Pan Pacific the title with a spectacular second round KO of Thailand?s Somchai Nakbalee last Novem, ber 30.
Gello-ani is looking for a suitable opponent who could stand to-to-toe with Ganoy and give fight fans an action-packed fight.
In the main event of the July 19 card Ciso ?Kid Terrible? Morales gets a chance to show what he?s got when he battles African Hussein Pazzi in the second defense of his WBO Oriental super bantamweight title.
Morales who is undefeated with a record of 11-0 with 7 knockouts faces Tanzania?s Pazzi whose record isn?t that scary as he?s got 17 wins 8 losses and 1 draw with 7 wins by knockout.
Morales won the WBO Oriental title with a hard-fought ten round unanimous decision over Indonesia?s game Marangin Marbun and then looked impressive when he scored a fifth round TKO over South Korea?s Yoo Shin-Kim last April 6 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Another fine performance is almost certain to earn Morales a chance to strut his wares in the United States .
