Undefeated 147 lb Davontae Kirk to be featured on Detroit card September PhilBoxing.com Fri, 25 Aug 2023 The imposing 5’11” boxer-puncher possesses power in both fists and is looking to put on a show for the local fans in his second fight of 2023. “I always look to give the fans their money’s worth,” said Kirk. “Whoever they put in front of me, the goal is to knock them out and that’s exactly what I will do on September 8th.” Kirk’s advisor, former multi-division title challenger, Benjamin “BJ “Flores, says he sees potential in the up and coming athlete, and an impressive work ethic. “Boxing is a learning process, and true growth doesn’t happen overnight. Davontae will have plenty of opportunities over the next twelve months to find out exactly how far he wants to take his journey,” said Flores. “It’s a real treat for Davontae to be featured in his hometown. Promoter Carlos Llinas has a long-standing presence in the city of Detroit. Over the last 15 years, Carlos has continued to bring exciting fights to the fans in the “Motor City.” In addition to advising Davontae Kirk, Flores manages 205 pound world Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship champion Lorenzo Hunt, and top BKFC middleweight prospect, Brutal Jake Bostwick. Flores is looking forward to helping create opportunities for these young fighters in their journeys to become champions. “This is something I take very serious. I’m in a different phase of my life now and nothing makes me happier than creating opportunities and building up the people on my team. Giving back to the sport of boxing is one of my passions. We are just getting started,” said Flores with a smile. Lorenzo Hunt will defend his BKFC 205 pound world title against Chris Cammozi on September 22 in Denver, Colorado. Flores is also a member of the “Small Council” for Misfits Celebrity Boxing that has steadily gained in popularity. Flores is on the board of advisors that determines fighter rankings, future matchups, and potential locations for events. He will be in Manchester for the KSI versus Tommy Fury fight on October 14.  |
