All is set for Open Kitchen FIDE rapid rated chess tourney on Saturday

MANILA---Around 200 woodpushers, including national team members and collegiate stars, are set to compete in the Open Kitchen FIDE rapid rated chess tournament on Saturday, August 5 at the second floor Open Kitchen Foodhall, Rockwell Business Center, Sheridan Street, Mandaluyong City.
Opening program starts at 9 am with P52,500 total prizes. The National Chess Federation of the Philippines sanctioned tournament coincides with the birthday celebration of NM Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr. and Mam Annie Chiqui Rivera Carter.
Bayanihan Chess Club secretary-general National Master Robert Suelo Jr. said among the participants in the 1-day chess tournament are 13-time Philippine Open champion Grandmaster Rogelio "Joey" Antonio Jr., International Masters Chito Garma, Chris Ramayrat, Angelo Young, Ronald Bancod, Barlo Nadera, Fide Masters David Elorta, Carlos Edgardo Garma, Adrian Ros Pacis and WFM Allaney Jia Doroy, among others.
Chess enthusiasts and sports aficionados are invited to witness this event backed up by Intchess Asia, Atty. Rodolfo Enrique "Rudy" Rivera and Mr. Jessie Villasin, especially children who are interested to learn the sport.-Marlon Bernardino-
